Darian Taylor
singer / songwriter
Although Iowa will always have a special place in her heart, Darian is now residing in Nashville and booking writers rounds in prolific hot spots such as Alley Taps in Printer’s Alley and The Stillery off of Broadway. In hopes to bring more jazz and blues to the Nashville music scene, Darian is planning on booking more gigs as they come and loves performing any chance she can. With hints of Amy Winehouse and Alicia Keys, Darian is a feminine powerhouse on stage and her looks are merely half the charm.
She has been writing and playing piano since 2018 where she started in Iowa. At first, she would produce all of her originals in the comfort of her bedroom, then book festivals and music venues around the downtown metro but when she moved to Florida, she had the incredible opportunity to record at Cleartrack Studios in Clearwater; one of the best recording studios on the East Coast. She fell in love with the process of producing music with a sound engineer in real time and that was when her first professional E. P. “Pink Cabaret” was born. Even though she was at a disadvantage for being a female piano player around Southwest Florida, she started recording heavily and exploring different styles.

She tried rearranging covers of pop songs to fit the piano with a jazzy flare which sparked more of an interest to the local residents and tourists. Soon enough, she won the title of top entertainer along the Southwest Gulf where her name and picture landed on the local Newspaper. She even filmed professional music videos in Tampa with Thomas Gabriellini at Ribshot Visuals and Miami with Los Angeles Director Alex DiMarco at Hustlecake. After 3 years of living in Florida, Darian decided to put her skills to the test by moving to Music City where she plans to continue and grow her music career.
As soon as she got to music city, Darian scoured the net for performance opportunities. She got involved with open mics around the area including The Vinyl Lounge’s "Full Band Open Mic" Monday’s with the Blue House Band and The Bowery Vault’s “In The Vault Open Mic” on Thursdays. In hopes of many more gigs to come, stay tuned for more upcoming projects and don't forget to SUPPORT LOCAL!
