BIO

Darian Taylor is a self-taught pianist of 5 years and started off her professional music career in November, 2018 by releasing her first single “Foolish”. After releasing her single with just under a year of piano background, she released her first album “The Perfectionist” on International Women’s Day of 2019! For practice, she would go to open mic's which shortly turned into her playing gigs at local hot spots such as “Tunes on the Terrace” at Café Baratta’s, “Friday Live Music” at The Continental and “Saturday Live Music” at DSM Brew. Within her first year of performing, she had the amazing opportunity to sing the National Anthem at an Iowa Cubs Game and was asked to return and perform during the playoffs later that season.

She has worked with the President of the Iowa Veterans Perspective to create and record a song from the poem “When the Boys in Blue are Gone”, which was used for a Veteran’s Day documentary aired on KCWI and ABC Local 5. She also made it to the 2019 World Food & Music Festival in Downtown Des Moines!

While 2020 may have been one hectic year, Darian Taylor didn’t stop moving forward. This break from the world gave her the opportunity to fiddle with electronic music and find new sounds. She started off the year by releasing a single called "In the Fire" which has been and still is spun on Iowa Public Radio. Virtual performances became the norm and she made appearances on The CW’s “Iowa Live” with songs from her second album "Just Begun".

Darian Taylor kicked off 2021 by performing live as the Guest of the Day on Channel 13's "Hello Iowa!". She also made an appearance at a local music venue called "Gas Lamp" alongside many talented artists from the Des Moines Metro area. A major first was her performance at Wooly’s opening the show for Bonne Finken as it was her first time hitting this renowned Des Moines stage. Since her first headline, she has performed at the Levitt Amp Earlham Music Series, made multiple appearances at the 2021 Des Moines Arts Festival and was chosen to perform for the first time ever at the 2021 Iowa State Fair!

Although Darian Taylor moved across the country to Southwest Florida, she continues to play the piano around SWFL while still writing and producing new music. Since the move, she has recorded an entire E. P. at World-Class Recording Studio Clear Track Studios, while still performing around  Tampa, Cape Coral, Ft. Myers and Naples and and has been chosen as a Top Pick for Entertainment in the Florida Weekly' Newspaper. After about 6 months of the E. P. being released, she was asked to film a music video with L.A. based indie production company Hustlecake LLC where she received the incredible opportunity to film in the heart of Miami with Director, Alex Di Marco.
